Privacy Policy — Claude-Code Instagram Assistant
Last updated: 3 June 2026
This privacy policy explains how the Claude-Code application ("the App") handles data when used by Yatin Mistry ("I", "me") to manage the Instagram professional account @yatininspire and its linked Facebook Page.
The App is a private, single-operator tool. It is used by me to manage my own social media account. It is not offered to other users and does not have public sign-up.
What the App accesses
When I use the App, and only with the access I have authorised, it may access:
-
Comments on my own posts (text, commenter username, timestamp) — to read and reply to comments.
-
Direct messages in conversations where someone has messaged my account — to read and reply, only within Meta's 24-hour messaging window.
-
Insights and analytics for my own account, posts, and Page (e.g. reach, engagement, aggregated follower demographics) — to understand performance.
-
Basic account information for my own account and Page.
The App accesses only my own account's data. It does not access data from accounts I do not own.
How the data is used
-
To read and respond to comments and direct messages addressed to my account.
-
To analyse the performance of my own content.
The App does not send unsolicited or bulk messages, and it only replies to people who have contacted my account first.
AI processing (third party)
To help me draft replies and summarise content, message and comment text may be sent to Anthropic, PBC (the provider of the Claude AI model) via its API for processing. Anthropic processes this data to return a response and does not use it to train its models on a default API basis. See Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
Storage and retention
-
Access credentials are stored locally on my own device in a permission-restricted file.
-
The App does not maintain a persistent database of other users' messages or comments. Content is processed transiently to display, analyse, or reply, and is not retained beyond what is needed for that interaction.
-
No data is sold, rented, or used for advertising.
Data deletion and your rights
If you have interacted with @yatininspire and want any data relating to you deleted, or have a privacy question, contact me at yatin.mistry@gmail.com and I will action the request. You can also delete your own comments and messages directly in Instagram at any time.
